Improving Your Networking Skills-Faculty Dinner

Whether you are a passionate extrovert or mysterious introvert, networking is a necessity. Strong professional networks “lead to more job opportunities, broader and deeper knowledge, improved capacity to innovate, faster advancement, and greater status and authority.” [HBR] Next time you are at ACS, SUS, or any society meeting, how can you optimize your networking without feeling drained?  You are invited to meet Stanford Graduate School of Business lecturer Matt Abrahams – a leading expert in communication with decades of experience as an educator, author, podcast host, and coach.   Matt Abrahams will discuss his new book  “Think Faster, Talk Smarter” and all attendees will be given a copy of the book.  Matt’s presentation will provide tips on how to succeed when you must speak spontaneously.

Department of Surgery Staff Retreat

We are excited to announce the 2nd Annual Department of Surgery staff retreat! We have another fun day planned at Pier 39! A morning at the aquarium with special guest speaker Mike Duffy, explore pier 39 with your coworkers or someone new,  an optional cruise on the bay, and happy hour!
