Talk Title: Cepika Lab research program and preliminary data
Alma-Martina Cepika recently joined the Division of General Surgery as tenure-track Assistant Professor and Chief of the Surgical Sciences Section. Dr. Cepika has expertise in human cellular immunology, genomics, and translational research in the areas of autoimmunity, inflammation, transplantation, and tumor immunology. Dr. Cepika received her MD and a PhD in Immunology from the University of Zagreb in Croatia, followed by post-doctoral fellowship at the Baylor Institute for Immunology Research in Dallas, Texas, and an Instructor appointment in the Department of Pediatrics at Stanford.  Cepika Lab studies human immune tolerance, investigating how human regulatory T cells exert anti-tumor immunity, as well as the pathogenesis and gene editing therapies for IBD.
