Talk Title: Targeting mechanisms driving pathogenic fibroblast activation in autoimmune disease
Dr. Alisa Mueller obtained her MD and PhD degrees at Stanford and completed her residency and fellowship in rheumatology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Currently, Dr. Mueller is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Immunology and Rheumatology at Stanford. Her research laboratory investigates stromal pathology and the role of fibroblasts in rheumatoid arthritis and other chronic inflammatory conditions. Utilizing innovative immunology, genomics, and regenerative medicine techniques, Dr. Mueller and her team aim to develop novel therapeutic approaches to combat autoimmune diseases and fibroblast-mediated pathologies.
