Important Notice: Given our record-breaking abstract submission numbers over the past few years — and in order to maximize the number of participants in the ASC — the number of abstracts that an individual first author may present to limited to TWO presentations. There is no limit to the number of abstracts that may be submitted, and — if more than two abstracts are accepted — the two highest scoring abstracts will be selected for presentation. Please note that there is no limit on the number of abstracts in which an author may be included as a middle or senior author.

The American Association of Endocrine Surgeons Annual Meeting Abstract Submission Deadline

 

Scientific Abstract submissions for the 2024 Annual Meeting is now OPEN.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION DEADLINE:
Wednesday, November 1, 2023, 11:59 PM PST

Notifications will be sent to each submitting author in mid-to-late-December.

Important Reminders

  • The 2024 AAES Annual Meeting will be an in-person event in Dallas, Texas, USA. All presentations (Oral Podium and Poster) will be given in person.
  • Only original research will be considered (must not have been previously presented or published).
  • There is a 350-word limit for abstracts. NO GRAPHICS OR TABLES will be accepted with abstract submission.
  • The abstract copy MUST include the following: Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
  • NO reference to the authors or the institution should appear within the title or body of the abstract.
  • Please do not submit case reports. A call for Interesting Case Submissions will be made after the abstract submission has been closed.
  • In accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), authors will be required to disclose all financial relationships with any companies they have had over the past 24 months. Omission or misrepresentation of financial relationships is academic dishonesty. Evidence of such that is discovered before, during, or after the AAES Meeting will lead to the removal of the abstract from the program and the published proceedings, referral to the Ethics Committee and AAES Council for punitive action up to and including a ban from presenting at future AAES Meetings.   • For trainees wishing to compete for the Van Heerden and Kinder Awards, select ‘yes’ to answer the relevant question. Submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the Program committee. The top abstracts will be selected for participation in the competition, and podium presentations will be scored during the scientific sessions. Abstracts selected for the competition will be denoted as such in the final program.

2022 Annual Meeting

The 2022 Annual Meeting of the American Association of Endocrine Surgeons will be held in Cleveland, OH and online, May 22-24, 2022.

 

Submit your abstract for consideration by November 1, 2021
AAES is now accepting abstracts for the 2022 Annual Meeting.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS:

  • The 2022 Annual Meeting will be a hybrid event taking place in Cleveland, OH but with virtual opportunities. While in-person podium presentations are preferred, exceptions will be made and the ability to travel to the meeting venue is not a prerequisite for abstract acceptance.
  • Only original research will be considered (must not be previously presented or published).
  • There is a 350-word limit for abstracts. NO GRAPHICS OR TABLES will be accepted with abstract submission.
  • The abstract copy MUST include the following: Background, Method, Results, Conclusion.
  • NO reference to the authors or the institution should appear within the body of the abstract or in the title.
  • Interesting Case Submissions will open after abstract submission has been closed. Please do not submit case reports.
  • Disclosure/COI forms are REQUIRED and will be distributed via email to all authors following submission of the abstract. Any abstract with undisclosed Conflicts of Interest that are found by the AAES Program Committee will automatically be withdrawn from presenting at the Meeting and will be reviewed by the AAES Ethics Committee, which could result in punitive action up to and including a ban from presenting at other AAES Meetings in the future.

The ACS Clinical Congress remains the premier annual surgical meeting and provides a broad range of outstanding education and training opportunities for surgeons, surgery residents, medical students, and members of surgical teams. Cutting-edge surgical research, hands-on learning opportunities, timely discourse on the most relevant surgical topics, and unparalleled peer access have long been hallmarks of Clinical Congress.

More than 120 Panel Sessions will cover the wide range of topics in these areas, and an exciting series of Named Lectures will be delivered by world-renowned experts in their respective fields. Didactic/Experiential and Surgical Skills Courses will emphasize advanced knowledge and skill acquisition through focused, applied learning techniques.

The purpose of the Clinical Congress is to keep ACS Members and interested non-Fellow physicians abreast of the current status of the art and science of surgery. To accomplish its purpose, the Clinical Congress offers a highly diversified program of continuing education in all specialties of surgery and in important fields of science, socioeconomics, and medical education. It holds the preeminent place among all College activities designed to raise the standards of surgical practice and improve the care of the surgical patient.
