Submitting an Abstract for inclusion in the Annual Program

The Southern Surgical Association is now accepting abstracts for the 138th Annual Meeting, December 6-9, 2026, at The Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida.

Current SSA members may submit their abstracts by the deadline for consideration in the Annual Scientific Program. The submitting/corresponding author must be an SSA member, as only SSA members are allowed to submit abstracts.

• Abstract Submission Deadline: Tuesday, June 30, 2026, 11:59 PM EDT.
• Log in to the Members Only Area to submit abstracts before the deadline.
• Review the Author Instructions.

Who can submit an abstract?
At least one co-author must be an active member of the SSA and serve as the corresponding author responsible for submitting the abstract by the due date. The Program Committee will communicate with the corresponding author on the decision made. It is obligation of the corresponding author to notify all additional authors of the Program Committee’s decision.
